// SOFTWARE ENGINEER AND CREATIVE TECHNOLOGIST
WHO
IS TY?
I am a creative technologist based in Leeds, UK. I’ve been working in film, TV, and live events for over 8 years. I’ve worked with large clients such as Red Bull Racing, Rebel Wilson, ITV, Russell Hobbs, Sony Entertainment, and many many more. I studied Live Events Production at the Academy of Live Technology, and have been based on the Production Park campus for the last six years.
I am also a full-stack software engineer, with experience designing scalable microservice-based systems for IIOT, interactive live experiences for e-commerce and art installations, and tooling for workflow automation with AI + ML.
I currently work for XPLOR - the cutting edge entertainment industry research team based out of Production Park. A lot of my recent work has been focused around colour workflows, integrating live events with AI technology for sustainability research, and robotics solution design in the live events industry. Part of my role is also based around CoSTAR LiveLAB, a partnership with the University of York. I have been at the helm of the design and deployment of CoSTAR’s high speed computing and networking infrastructure, and it’s integration with the rest of the Park’s infrastructure to allow us to collaborate in the most effective way possible. Outside of work, I love to be creative and make things - I’m into FPV drones, DIY, open source, digital art, music production, and much more. I’m driven by forward momentum, and I’m a firm believer that the best things in life are a product of constraint and creativity.

DESCRIPTION
An internal R&D project at XPLOR focused on colour pipeline management for virtual production. I designed and built the backend software and frontend UI for a tool that automates the generation of OCIO configurations, taking into account the properties of every device in the signal chain. The tool is currently in active internal use on colour pipeline jobs at XPLOR.
